Quality Assurance Services

Quality is the degree to which services and supports for individuals increase the likelihood for desired health and quality of life outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge.

NEON performs quality assurance reviews in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 5126.431 and rule 5123:2-12-01 of the Administrative Code.  Each individual receiving waiver and supported living services is required to have a review at least once every three years.

The county board provides a list to NEON for individuals requiring a review and NEON contacts the individual, guardian, provider, and county board staff to establish a time for interviews.  During the interviews, the following areas are assessed:  Choices and Options, Personal Income, Housing, Community Membership, Personal Satisfaction, Health, and Safety.

A written report is then prepared, indicating areas of positive outcome and identifying services, supports, and activities that merit improvement and/or are no longer needed or wanted by the individual.
